About Peter Gray
Gray focuses his law practice on international disputes, with an emphasis on disputes centered in the MENA region and Asia. He is experienced in arbitrations under various rules, including LCIA, ICC, and DIFC-LCIA. Having first qualified as a barrister, he is a solicitor with full rights of audience in the English Senior Courts, as well as the DIFC Courts.
Gray has acted for a number of banks, funds, investors and financial institutions, as well as governmental entities, in a wide array of disputes, including those involving misrepresentation and breach of warranties claims, fraud, property investment disputes, construction of contractual terms, minority shareholder rights and corporate governance disputes.
Gray is also experienced in representing entities with energy interests, including oil majors and minors (in upstream and downstream matters), drilling companies, solar and other renewable energy companies, on matters involving exploration rights, profit share agreements, JOA disputes, seismic operations, supply disagreements, pipeline sharing rights, swaps and commodities joint ventures. He has also handled a variety of other commercial litigation, non-contentious matters and internal investigations.
A graduate from Clare College, Cambridge, Gray practiced at Dewey & LeBoeuf since 2000. He is a member of several professional groups, including Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, International Bar Association, and Lincoln’s Inn. A frequent author and lecturer, he has given seminars for the BPP Law School LLM program.
